pallette

Are you an artist aged over 18? Have you ever lived, worked or studied in Burntwood? If so, our Arts Development Team has a great opportunity for you to show off your work.

The Burntwood Open Art Exhibition will be taking place from Saturday 30 July to Saturday 7 August at Chase Terrace Technology College and the team are inviting artists to submit up to three pieces in any medium including paintings, sculpture, ceramics or installations. This year's theme for artworks is 'Childhood'.

To enter, simply print off and complete an application form and send it to:

Celia Houghton,
Arts Development Officer,
Lichfield District Council,
The Old Mining College Centre,
Queen Street,
Chasetown
WS7 4QH

The deadline for artwork is Friday 2 July, so you have plenty of time to create something new.

As well as the main exhibition, there will also be a children's exhibition, featuring artwork by Burntwood school children, craft stalls, an art sale and refreshments. Workshops and demonstrations of art techniques will also be taking place so the whole family can get their creative juices flowing.

Volunteers are needed to help out with every aspect of the event, as well as craft sellers to man stalls and professional artists to run workshops and demonstrations. If you are interested or would like more information, please download a letter with more information.
