Paving Scheme Steps Forward

Paving Scheme Steps Forward A new £1 million scheme to repave and refurbish Lichfield City Centre has started.

The scheme, which is being carried out by Bardon Constuction, includes Tamworth Street, Bore Street and the Market Square - incorporating Breadmarket Street and part of Market Street.

To reduce the impact on shoppers and traders, the scheme will be delivered in six phases. The first phase will affect Market Square and Tamworth Street. Whilst the makeover work is taking place, the market will be relocated to neighbouring streets, but nearby shops will remain open as usual throughout the building work.
