    This document sets out what business and others being regulated can expect from enforcement officers. It commits us to good enforcement policies and procedures. It may be supplemented by additional statements of enforcement policy.

    Our Enforcement Policy is based on the principals of the Enforcement Concordat, which was formally signed on 5 March 1998 by Peter Kilfoyle on behalf of Central Government and by Councillor John Ryan on behalf of the Local Government Association. This brochure gives information to businesses on what the Concordat is, as well as what to expect from Enforcement Authorities.

    The Food Premises (Registration) Regulations 1991 require food businesses, including mobile food businesses, to register with the local council. Registration must take place 28 days prior to opening.
