Artwork designed by community-minded young people will be unveiled at a special launch event in Burntwood.

Young people from the area have been involved in Morph4us, a community arts project, to design a permanent focal point in Redwood Park.

The aim of the project is to break down some of the social barriers between young people and the community, tackling the existing negative stereotypical image of young people in the area by showing them to be doing something positive for the community.

The Morph4us team consists of young people from Burntwood, with help from Staffordshire Young People's Service, Positive Futures which is funded by the Home Office, Lichfield District Council and Born Communication Ltd.

The artwork is printed on three metal monoliths, depicting the past, present and future.  It uses a collage of photographs donated by the people of Burntwood, combined with historical facts on the back of the monoliths.  The final design was originally one of four put to the community, who voted overwhelmingly for the monoliths.
