Environmental health
Our environmental health team works to protect the health and safety of our residents, traders, visitors and environment, including the air you breathe, the food you buy, and your safety in your workplace, as well working to help businesses succeed.
We also work to ensure that pests, refuse and noise nuisances are properly controlled.
Where possible we work to bring about behavioural change in local organisations and people. We aim to do this primarily through educating and advising, but where necessary we use the legislative powers invested in us to safeguard health and safety.
