Community safety
Lichfield District Safer Community Partnership
Community safety takes a wide approach to tackling crime and disorder. It doesn't just attempt to tackle criminal activities, it also looks at how things like
social and environmental issues (for example poor street lighting, or not enough activities for young people) can impact on levels of crime and safety.
As well as traditional crime prevention and reduction activities, community safety looks at how, by addressing quality of life issues, crime can be reduced and safety can be improved.
In Lichfield District, local partners work together to deliver community safety initiatives through the Lichfield District Safer Community Partnership, whose members include a wide range of public, private and voluntary agencies.
The partners work together to reduce crime, anti-social behaviour and the fear of crime throughout the district.
This section includes helpful advice on dealing with crime and anti-social behaviour, as well as information on the partnership, our priorities, initiatives and helpful advice.
