The National Memorial Arboretum is a unique haven of peace, contemplation and hope for the future. It is the United Kingdom's living and lasting memorial to commemorate and celebrate those who have given their lives in the service of their country, or have served or suffered as a result of conflict. The Arboretum is home to the impressive new Armed Forces Memorial which pays tribute to the 16,000 members of the Armed Forces who have been killed on duty since the Second World War. The National Memorial Arboretum is now a national tourist destination and welcomes visitors from across the UK and beyond.
