Malcolm Rollins and Chris GouldChildren’s orienteering challenge at Chasewater Country Park this July

Lichfield District Council's parks team is hosting an Out and About orienteering challenge at Chasewater Country Park on Tuesday 24 and Saturday 28 July, between 1pm and 3pm.

The challenge is aimed at children and young people between the ages of 6 and 14. It is an adventurous trail that will see youngsters following clues that will take them scrambling through bushes and running under bridges.

Ellen Williams, Ranger at Chasewater Country Park, said: "Completing an orienteering challenge is not only great fun, it also develops important skills. So, if your children need to burn off some energy this July, bring them to Chasewater Country Park to take part in an outdoor activity."

It costs £2 per child to go on the trail, which are available from the country park's boat shed. There is no need to book, just turn up and have a go.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.
