Return to Titanic

Published on Tuesday, 25th September 2012

The Lichfield Garrick is offering audiences a rare insight into the construction, disaster and discovery of RMS Titanic, when diver Rory Golden visits the theatre in October.

Rory Golden was the first Irish diver to see Titanic from a Russian MIR submersible in 2000 and again in 2005 at a depth of 3875 metres.

Return to Titanic is a two-part 80-minute presentation that will cover the construction and loss in 1912, discovery in 1985, artifact recovery expeditions, and personal recollections of actually diving to the ship.

Get an exciting new insight into the expedition of 1985 which discovered Titanic from the journal and images of cameraman Ralph White, who went on to make 35 dives to the wreck site.

See the artifacts on the seabed and on recovery and appreciate their significance. Smell the perfume.

Join Rory on his dives around the wreck and experience what it's like to view Titanic only inches away.

Return to Titanic will be at the Lichfield Garrick on Wednesday 10 October 2012, from 7.30pm. Tickets cost from £12, and can be booked online at http://www.lichfieldgarrick.com/ or by calling the Box Office on 01543 412121.
