The new Lichfield District Local Plan: Strategy is a progression of the previous Core Strategy documents and was published on the 30th July for a formal six week consultation. Responding to the Local Plan: Strategy
The formal six week consultation period will began on the 30th July 2012 with the closing date for comments being Monday 10th September 2012 at 5.15pm. All comments at this stage of the Local Plan process must be completed on the representation form which is available by following the link below or via letter or email by responding to those questions within the Representation form.

This representation form seeks responses relating to the pre-submission version of the Local Plan: Strategy and Sustainability Appraisal which is the version that the Council intends to formally submit to the Government for examination. Lichfield District Council consider these documents to be in conformity with the regulations of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 (including subsequent amendments) and therefore they have been prepared in accordance with the Duty to Cooperate, legal and procedural requirements and are sound.
Consequently in order to be considered, representations at this stage of the plan making process must be made on the grounds of soundness or legal compliance, including whether the plan is in conformity with the Duty to Cooperate. These representations will be considered by an independent Planning Inspector at the Local Plan's examination in public.
Paper copies of the Proposed Submission Local plan: Strategy, the Sustainability Appraisal, Consultation Statement and supporting documents are available for your viewing at the following locations:
Lichfield, Burntwood, Brereton, Brownhills, Rugeley, Shenstone, Tamworth and the mobile Libraries (during normal opening hours); The Old Mining College, Chasetown - Monday to friday 9.00am-5.00pm; and; District Council House, Frog Lane Lichfield: Monday to Friday 8.45am-5.15pm.
