Our ambition is to deliver good value, good quality local services. 
In 2004 the audit commission told us were were a 'good' council, and in 2007, they confirmed we are getting better and better at managing our finances, and we are now amongst the top performing councils nationally.

A Plan for Lichfield District
Every four years we put together a strategic plan, which this year we have developed with our partners and is called A Plan for Lichfield District.
Our plan sets out the combined vision of the council and partners, our joint ambitions and our focus. The plan also replaces our Sustainable Community Strategy 2006-2021, and has also been adopted by the Lichfield District Strategic Partnership as their underpinning strategy.

Our financial performance
Our statement of accounts & summary of accounts are explain our financial management in detail. We are a low charging council, with top performing services. Sound financial management is our touchstone, efficiency is our watchword. We are committed to delivering good value for money and continuing to do more for less. Find out more:

Our council tax leaflet
Every year we produce a council tax leaflet that is sent out with our residents' yearly council tax bill. It outlines to residents how their money has been spent and what we have achieved.
Our annual reports
