The Cabinet is the part of the council that is responsible for most of the policy decisions that influence the day-to-day operations.
Cabinet is made up of six Cabinet Members who have specific responsibility for key areas of the council's services and is led by the Leader of Lichfield District Council.
When significant decisions are to be discussed or made, these are published in the council's forward plan.
Cabinet meetings are open for the public to attend, except where personal or confidential matters are being discussed.
The Cabinet has to make decisions which are in line with the council's overall policies and budget. Where decisions that are outside the budget or policy framework, or are of great significance, then these are referred to Full Council to debate and decide.
