Building control services
Building control is different to planning permission. It is the process of ensuring that government-set building regulations* are met in new builds, extensions and existing buildings.
Even when you have been granted planning permission, you will still need building control services to ensure your project meets the necessary standards and is safe and well built.
We work in partnership with South Staffordshire Council and Tamworth Borough Council to offer building control services to homeowners, businesses and developers across the district through the Southern Staffordshire Building Control Partnership.
You can make an application to Building Control through the Southern Staffordshire Building Control website, which also offers guidance notes on applying.
