Lichfield District Council is reminding everyone in north Lichfield that the deadline of the nomination period for the vacant Curborough city and district council seats is at 4pm on Friday 8 June.
The seats on the city and district council became vacant after Cllr Jeanette Allsopp sadly died in April.
Anyone who is interested in becoming either a city or district councillor will need to complete a nomination form for the city and/or district vacancy, which are available from the Returning Officer at District Council House on Frog Lane in Lichfield.
Go to www.lichfielddc.gov.uk/upcomingelections
to find out more about the nomination process.
If the elections are contested, by-elections will take place on Thursday 5 July from 7am to 10pm. All Curborough residents who are registered to vote will be sent polling cards, which tells them where they need to go on the day to vote or postal poll cards if they have a postal vote set up.
If you have not registered to vote, visit www.lichfielddc.gov.uk/registertovote
to find out how to do it and how you can register for postal or proxy votes.
