Your view questionnaire - how we've used your views

Thank you to the hundreds of people who gave us their views by filling in our Your View questionnaire in summer 2014.

More than 1,400 people took part - people of all ages and from every ward in our district filled in questionnaires. The questionnaire asked people to tell us what they think of the services we provide, as well as their opinions on a number of different savings and income generation ideas. The questionnaire was not a referendum on what services we should cut back on or what we should protect. It was designed to help our councillors understand local people's views better and help them to make sound decisions.

What did people tell us?

We created a highlight report that contains a snapshot of people's responses - download the highlight report. We also created a more in-depth report that assesses the responses we received in more detail and provides more raw data - download the full report.

How have we used people's views?

The number of responses we received gave us a statistically robust sample of local views, which we’ve been using to help shape our services this year. We’ve done this through a councillor led working group, and we’ve used your feedback to help shape business cases and inform decision making processes. We’ve also included a ‘community views’ section in our team service plans to make sure we continually take your views into account.

We have created a You Said We Did Report (July 2015) to show the decisions we have made based on people's feedback as well as some of the decisions we will make in the future changes based on the feedback you have given.
