Staying safe

Lichfield District is a very safe place to live and work.

According to the community safety strategic assessment 2017, the rate of all crime in 2016/2017 in Lichfield District (at 49.2 per 1,000 population) is below the England average of 74.1 and ranks third lowest out of the nine areas within Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.

However, we can all do things to make sure we stay safe and reduce our chance of being a victim of crime.

You can find advice on how to prevent crime on Staffordshire Police's website. You can also find other useful information on the Lichfield District Crime Prevention Panel website and information about local neighbourhood watch schemes are available on the Neighbourhood Watch website.

Staffordshire Police's website also contains advice about personal safety.
