Report littering online
Disposing of litter on our streets and highways is unacceptable.
Not only is it anti-social and unpleasant, littering is also illegal. If you throw down, drop, or deposit litter in any place, including cigarette ends and chewing gum, you can be fined or face a court prosecution.
We have powers under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 to issue fixed penalty notices (or fines) to anyone who litters.
The fixed penalty is £75 and must be paid within 14 days. This amount is reduced to £60 if payment received within 10 days.
