You don't have to be living on the street to be homeless. You may be legally classed as homeless if you are sleeping on a friend's sofa, staying in a hostel, suffering from overcrowding, or other bad conditions.
If you are currently homeless and need advice, or if you are worried about becoming homeless, please check through these pages.
We have a legal responsibility to help homeless people. The type of help we provide differs depending on people's circumstances. For example, we may need to provide temporary or permanent accommodation, or help people to find their own accommodation.
If you need more specific advice, or would like to arrange to speak to someone about your housing circumstances, please contact the Housing Options Team on 01543 308703 or 308709 between 9am and 5pm or email firstname.lastname@example.org
