Advice for businesses - Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Guidance for food businesses

Read the government's guidance for people who work in or run restaurants, pubs, bars, cafes or takeaways.

Reopening your food business

If you have introduced a new delivery or takeaway service as part of your business or you have made significant changes to the way your food business operates then please notify us of these changes by email or call 01543 308729. This is so we can offer you advice and guidance to assist you with your new practices.

Read the government guidance specific to people working in or running restaurants, pubs, bar and takeaway services.

Food business checklist

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) have created a checklist for food businesses to reopen safely during COVID-19. Extra checks alongside your normal daily opening checks are key to ensure you maintain basic hygiene standards and recognise areas where more attention is needed.

Alcohol delivery services

We recognise that that pub and clubs with a premises licence or a club premises certificate may look to change their business model and diversify in order to maintain their business during this time. A pub or club will be able to offer an alcohol delivery service but can only do so if their existing premises licence or club premises certificate has the provision of 'off sales'. Only a person over 18 years old can purchase alcohol, and a comprehensive policy needs to be in place to check this.
