Services affected by Coronavirus (COVID-19)
From 6 July to 2 August 2020 you will be able to park in Lichfield city centre car parks for just £1!
The special offer will apply to the majority of district council managed car parks in Lichfield city centre, including short and long-stay facilities.
Exceptions to the rule
Due to the operating arrangement covering Backcester Lane and Gresley Row car parks, the special offer won’t be available at these car parks for the time being.
If using the car parks that serve Beacon Park (on Shaw Lane, Greenhough Road and Bunkers Hill), you will be able to choose to pay the minimum 50p for a shorter period or pay the £1 rate for the full day.
Accessing the special offer when you Pay by Phone
You can now select the correct car park and £1 payment using Pay by Phone at all city centre car parks that are part of this offer.
Season ticket holders to get one extra month for free!
All season ticket permits in circulation as of 6 July 2020 will automatically roll over for a free extra month after the expiry date.
NHS, health care staff and key workers free parking to come to an end after 5 July
The £1 parking special offer means the free car parking for NHS, health care staff and key workers will come to an end after Sunday 5 July. However, everyone will be able to benefit from the £1 parking all day across the city from Monday.
Electric charge points
It will cost £1 to park at the electric charge points in The Friary car park.
Season ticket refunds
If you have a car parking season ticket and would like a refund, please send your pass back to us to:Parking Team, The Depot Burntwood Business Park, Zone 2 Reliant Way Burntwood WS7 3JH
You will be refunded the amount left on your pass from when we receive it. It may take a few days for the refund to show on your bank statement.
When using our car parks, please:
- maintain normal social distancing, particularly when queuing to use the machines - please keep 2m apart at all times
- pay online, by phone or text to avoid using the machines if you can
- do not misuse or obstruct disabled parking spaces
