How to register/sign into your My account
We are committed to offering you great customer service and our My account allows you to store all your interactions with us in one place, as well as ask us questions, submit documents and more.
Why sign up for a My account?
If you sign up for a My account you can:
- View and track your online requests/orders at anytime
- See a history of past requests/orders
- Send messages about your requests, without having to complete another form, send an email or call us
- Attach documents/upload photos to support requests/orders after you submit an online form
- Log straight into your council tax, benefits or business rate account, without having to remember two usernames and passwords
How to register/sign in
It's really easy to sign up - just click on the My account icon in the top right hand of the screen (as shown in the image below):
Log into your My account
You will be taken to a login page. If you don't already have a My account, click on blue Register link (as shown in the image below):
Sign in or register
You will then be taken to a registration page (as shown below). Simply enter your email and then follow the links in the email to register for a My account.

You will then be taken to your My account home page, where you will be able to see forms you have submitted, local information and more.
You will then be taken to the council tax portal login screens. To link your My account, click on the purple Sign in or Register for an account link in the top right hand side of the screen (see below):

How to link your My account to your council tax/benefits or business rates account
To link your My account to your council tax/benefits or business rates account*, click on Register/view my council tax and/or benefits account or Register/view my business rates account on your My account page (as shown below):

If you already have a council tax/benefits or business rates account, sign in (just click on the link below)
Sign in or sign up
If you don't have a council tax/benefits or business rates account, you will need to set one up before you can link it to your My account. Just click on create an account here (as shown below):
If you want to link your council tax/benefits account choose the person button, or if you want to link your business rates account*, choose the organisation button.
You'll need your first name, last name and you council tax reference number handy (which can be found on your council tax bill).
Register to link up your accounts
*Please note you can only link a My account to either a council tax/benefits or a business rates account.
If you are a local resident, and want to link a My account to a council tax account, but also have a business - you will need to register for two different My accounts, with different email addresses (one for you personal account to link to your council tax account, and one for your work account to link to your business rates account).
