Councillor vacancies and by-elections

Councillor for the Parish of Mavesyn Ridware

Notice is hereby given that a vacancy has arisen in the office of councillor for the Parish of Mavesyn Ridware. Please note these are two separate vacancies. 

An election will be held to fill the vacancies if so requested by TEN local government electors.

Requests must be in writing and must be delivered before the deadline of midnight on 23 September 2022 (calculated in accordance with the Local Elections (Parishes and Communities) Rules 1986 (as amended)) to:

If no election is requested the vacancy will be filled by the parish council in accordance with the said rules.

Councillor for the Parish of Mavesyn Ridware

Councillor for the District of Chasetown

Notice is hereby given that a vacancy has arisen in the office of District Councillor for Ward No. 8 (Chasetown) following the resignation of Councillor Samuel Tapper.

An election will be held to fill the vacancy within 35 days after notice in writing has been given to the undersigned by TWO local government electors for the area, pursuant to Section 89(1)(b) of the above Act.
