Bring your empty, clean milk bottle to Beacon Park on Saturday 15 June to take part in a crafty session.

Beacon Park is running an ‘Upcycle Your Milk Bottle Day’ for all ages on Saturday 15 June, between 11am and 2pm. The day will involve making interesting objects out of clean, plastic milk bottles.

Ideas for what to make include creating fairy houses, elephants, plant pots, scoops, dinosaur heads, watering cans and bird feeders.

There will also be the opportunity to add an upcycled milk carton feather to the ‘Feel Good Garden Angel’ sculpture.

Councillor Liz Little, Cabinet Member responsible for Leisure, said:

“We’re inviting everyone to bring a clean, plastic milk bottle to our upcycle day. It’s a chance to get creative in the park and to make something out of an object that would otherwise end up in the recycling bin.”

Taking place at Beacon Park’s community garden, it costs 50p to take part in the Upcycle Your Milk Bottle Day. All sizes of milk bottles are welcome. Children must be accompanied at all times at this drop-in event.
