Green-fingered Beavers

Seven beavers pose by flowerbed

Children from Burntwood Beavers got their hands dirty recently to help Lichfield District Council with a spot of gardening at a local park.

To make them more environmental aware, a group of seven Beavers rolled up their sleeves and spent a morning gardening at Burntwood Park.

Paul Niven, Community Gardener for Lichfield District Council, said:

“The group worked really hard and we managed to plant a whole flowerbed with begonias. It’s great to have young people excited by gardening, and I hope this has inspired them to get outside and help in the garden.”

If you have a group that would like to volunteer to help in one of the parks across the district, please email or call the team on 01543 308867.
