Be cosy at home this winter

With Christmas on its way, Lichfield District Council is reminding local residents that may be struggling to heat their homes this winter to get free, expert energy saving advice.

Lichfield District Council is working to make sure that no one is cold in their homes in the lead up to Christmas, and is promoting its Warmer Homes, Greener District energy advice line ahead of the holidays.

Local residents can access free, impartial over-the-phone advice on:

  • How to stay warmer in winter
  • Problems with heating and hot water
  • Fuel bills, fuel debt and dealing with energy suppliers
  • What grants and assistance is currently available
  • Energy efficiency improvements and renewable technologies

The team can also help residents access grants and other financial assistance to improve the energy efficiency of their homes or to help with paying their energy bills.

Gareth Davies, Head of Regulatory Services, Housing & Wellbeing, said:

“If you are struggling to heat your home and you are worried it is affecting your health, please call our free phone line for expert advice. There may be grants or other initiatives our energy experts can help you access, so please do get in touch.”
