Lichfield District Council is here to help
As lockdown is extended, Lichfield District Council is working hard to make sure everyone in the district has what they need to get through this challenging time.
Green bin tags are being placed on waste bins across the district when bins are emptied. They include useful information on what local households can rely on the council to provide.
This is being done to ensure that anyone who may not have seen the council’s coronavirus information online or heard about it through word of mouth and who are in need of help, know what support is available and how they can access it.
The tags also include contact details for people who are interested in volunteering their time to support the most vulnerable in the district.
Councillor Doug Pullen, Leader of the Council, said:
“We are dedicated to keeping our key services running as smoothly as possible, while also doing as much as we can to support our residents and businesses at this difficult time.
“Most of our residents have access to online services and information, but we do understand that some may not, and this initiative means every one of our residents will know we are here to help and what to do if they need our assistance.”
