University West Car Park to close for Covid Mobile Testing
The University West Car Park in Lichfield is to close on selected days in November and used as a coronavirus mobile testing site to help increase local access to coronavirus testing.
The car park will be closed during the day on the following dates:
- Monday 2 November
- Tuesday 3 November
- Wednesday 11 November
- Thursday 12 November
- Friday 13 November
- Monday 16 November
- Tuesday 17 November
- Wednesday 18 November
- Thursday 26 November
- Friday 27 November
Alternative parking is available across Lichfield with the closest being The Friary Car Park.

Councillor Liz Little, Cabinet Member for Major Projects & Economic Development, said:
“I am pleased that Lichfield District Council is be able to support the County Council and NHS by locating a Mobile Testing Unit in Lichfield and enable more local access to testing. “I hope that users of the car park will understand the need for the car park closure and hope that it doesn’t cause too much disruption.”
