Countdown to virtual Good Cause Launch
Voluntary organisations, charities and clubs across Lichfield District are being reminded to book their place to the Lichfield Community Lottery Good Cause Launch, which is on Monday 18 January at 5pm.
Lichfield District Council is getting set to launch a weekly lottery in the spring, to raise money for good causes across the district and to give players a chance to win a £25,000 jackpot plus smaller prizes.
In advance of lottery tickets going on sale, the council is encouraging local good causes to attend an online event to find out how they can benefit from signing up to be involved in the community lottery.
Thirty local voluntary organisations, charities and clubs have already booked their place on the virtual Good Cause Launch, and it is not too late for more causes to register.
Councillor Ashley Yeates, Cabinet Member for Community Engagement, said:
“Before Lichfield Community Lottery has its first draw in early April, we need the voluntary sector and not-for-profit organisations to sign up so they can receive the benefits.
“For small charities and local good causes, getting this money each month will be a fun way to raise much needed funds.
“So, if you are a local good cause and haven’t booked your place to the Good Cause Launch yet, please book now so you can join us to find out what it’s all about.”
The Good Cause Launch will take place online on Monday 18 January 2021 from 5pm to 6pm.
