Lichfield District SPACE leisure activity pass
This summer 11 to 17 year olds can take advantage of the SPACE leisure activity passes for unlimited access to a host of leisure activities.
Thanks to funding from the Staffordshire Police, Fire & Crime Commissioner, Lichfield District Council and Freedom Leisure are offering local 11 to 17 year olds SPACE leisure activity passes so they can access a range of activities over the summer holidays.
All SPACE leisure activity pass holders gain unlimited access to:
- Getin2it holiday activities, including soft archery, family boxercise and dodgeball
- Getin2it programme, including boxing, parkour, dance, trampolining and more
- Public swims at Burntwood Leisure Centre and Friary Grange Leisure Centre
- Off peak leisure centre court hire, including tennis, badminton, squash/racketball and table tennis
- Foot and disc golf, crazy golf, cricket pitch access, bowls and pétanque at Beacon Park
The passes also give access to leisure centre activities at a discounted price for the following year.
Councillor Iain Eadie, Cabinet Member responsible for Leisure, said:
“We have a great line-up of activities this summer, and a SPACE leisure activity pass will keep 11 to 17 year olds busy and active all summer-long.
“We hope plenty of young people take advantage of the passes and get active and have fun over the summer holidays and beyond.”
Lichfield District Council is giving away the first 180 SPACE leisure activity passes for free on a first come, first served basis from Monday 19 July. The passes will then be available to buy for £20 at Burntwood and Friary Grange leisure centres once all the free passes have been snapped up.
The Getin2it summer activities can also be booked individually without a pass. They include soft archery for £2 and family boxercise for £5. Dodgeball holiday sessions and the regular Getin2it activities are also available throughout the summer, and there is no need to book - just turn up. The district’s SPACE programme also includes activities run by Lichfield Cathedral, Liberty and Fun Club Hub. However, these are not included in the council’s leisure activity pass promotion, although a separate free SPACE pass is needed to access them. *The first two weeks of sessions are available to book now and the remaining sessions will be available to book later this week.
