New walking cricket sessions

Be bowled over at new walking cricket sessions starting at Burntwood Leisure Centre on Thursday 8 November.

Older men and women are invited to join in a slower-paced, indoor format of cricket when it launches at Burntwood Leisure Centre in November.

Taking place on Thursdays between 3.30pm and 5pm, walking cricket is the perfect way to remain involved in the game and meet new people while staying active.

Councillor David Leytham, Cabinet Member for Leisure at Lichfield District Council, said:

“In partnership with Staffordshire Cricket, we’re pleased to be adding walking cricket to our list of Active Lichfield activities aimed at the over 50s. It’s a great way to play the game but at a gentler pace. It joins walking football and netball and archery in our line-up of weekly sessions for adults.”

Sessions cost £2.50 a time and there’s no need to book ahead.
