Make your own eco-friendly Mother’s Day card
Show your mum how much you care for her and the environment by making an eco-friendly Mother’s Day card at a special activity in Lichfield’s Beacon Park.
Lichfield District Council’s Parks Team is inviting participants of all ages to come along and make cards adorned with flowers using environmentally friendly herb seed paper which can be planted after use.
The team is holding two activity sessions this Saturday (March 19), from 10am to 12noon and 1pm to 3pm in the Community Gardens Area near Beacon Park’s bowling greens.
Ruth Piddington, Community and Education Officer at Lichfield District Council, said:
“Join our Parks Team and make an eco-friendly card for your mum.
“The flower heads will be made with special paper embedded with herb seeds for planting afterwards.
“You can also make birthday, get well, anniversary and thank you cards too.”
The cost is £1 per card and there is no need to book – just turn up on the day!
