Getin2it this Easter!
From tennis to UV Sport, through to Parkour and football, there is lots on offer to keep children and young people in Lichfield and Burntwood active during the Easter holidays.
Lichfield District Council’s Active Lichfield team has launched its Getin2it Easter Holiday 2022 programme, which features a full schedule of activity sessions.
Soft archery is set to be a real highlight for 7 to 14 year-olds running at Lichfield’s Curborough Community Centre on Tuesday 12 April from 10am to 11am and 11.15am to 12.15pm and at Burntwood’s Chase Terrace Park on Thursday 14 April from 10am to 11am and 11.15am to 12.15pm.
There will be further soft archery sessions on Wednesday 20 April at Chase Terrace Park from 10am to 11am and 11.15am to 12.15pm and on Friday 22 April at Curborough Community Centre from 10am to 11am and 11.15am to 12.15pm.
The sessions, which are delivered by a qualified coach, are for beginners and use suction cup arrows to hit the target. Each class costs £2 and needs to be booked in advance.
Other activities on offer include tennis, Attitude Dance, football, Dodgeball, Parkour and Multi Sports. The is a cost to participate in Attitude Dance (£2), Parkour (£1) and UV Sport (£1) sessions but tennis, football, Multi Sports, Dodgeball and activities at the Indoor Getin2it Zone at Burntwood Leisure Centre are free.
Councillor Iain Eadie, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Leisure and Local Plan: said:
“A super range of activities are on offer in Lichfield and Burntwood this Easter at our Getin2it sessions.
"They are a great way of keeping young people active over the holidays, off their gaming consoles and out in the fresh air. We hope everyone will take advantage of them.”
