Hire our parks

Many of our parks can be hired to host events, from community days and sporting activities, through to large-scale corporate events.

We have put together a guide that explains the process of hiring one of our parks/green spaces and what you need to do to make sure your event is as safe as possible - download our guide to hiring local parks.

Lichfield Safety Advisory Group (SAG)

Please fill in our event notification form to notify the Lichfield Safety Advisory Group (SAG) of your event, so they can decide if they need to be involved, depending on the size, scale and potential risks the event poses.

The SAG is made up of organisations, including the district council, county council, police and fire service etc. The group may get involved in the planning stages of your event to make sure you have effective safety arrangements, licenses and permissions in place. If you are required to submit your event management plan to the SAG and/or attend a SAG meeting, you must comply with SAG's requirements. Failure to do so may mean that your permission to use the park is withdrawn.

In general events involving fewer than 2,000 people will only be reviewed by the SAG if there is an increased risk.

Event management plans and risk assessments

Whether you are working with the Safety Advisory Group or not, we recommend that all event organisers complete an event management plan and risk assessment.
