Parks in Lichfield

Beacon Park

Dating back to the late 1800s, Beacon Park is set in more than 70 acres of beautiful formal gardens and open space.

Beacon Park, Minster Pool and Walk, and the Garden of Remembrance underwent extensive renovation in 2010 and 2011, thanks to a multi-million pound grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Big Lottery Fund.

The project, led by Lichfield District Council and Lichfield City Council, helped to restore many of the historic features, as well as develop new facilities.

From beautiful walks and fascinating wildlife, to a play area and an 18-hole par-3 golf course also offering foot and disc golf, Beacon Park offers something for everyone.

Car parking is also available and there are designated disabled spaces in all three of Beacon Park’s car parks.

We regularly inspect local parks, but if you spot anything needing our attention please report it to us by filling in a quick online form or calling us on 01543 308867 if it is urgent.
