Comment on a planning application
What happens to comments
All comments are publish them online for others to view on our planning system - find out more.
It's important when submitting a comment to be aware they will be made public (find out about the information we redact) and that we may also forward them to other relevant parties.
All comments and objections will be considered alongside all other planning considerations that relate to the application, unless they are made anonymously.
Where considerations conflict with one another, it's our role to balance an application against planning policies and against other relevant factors - a decision that does not reflect your comments does not mean they were ignored.
If an application is considered by our planning committee, you may have the chance to speak at the committee meeting. Find out more speaking at the planning committee.
If the application is subject to appeal, comments are forwarded to the Planning Inspectorate.
