Planning obligations

Planning obligations are agreements made between local authorities and developers to mitigate the impact of a development proposal. Planning obligations are attached to a development proposal, or planning permission, in order to make the development acceptable. These obligations are generally used when planning conditions are not suitable, or are unable to deliver a particular requirement.

The following pages provide information on the planning obligations which may be implemented on any relevant development within the Lichfield district.
