Landlord accreditation schemes

Landlord accreditation schemes are designed to recognise reputable landlords/agents - and may help to attract new tenants to your properties.

If you become accredited landlord/agent, you will receive an accreditation certificate that will provide your current/future tenants with the confidence your properties are safe and of a high quality. You will also gain access to a range of support services and advice.

You can choose to join either the Midland Landlords Accreditation Scheme or the National Landlords Accreditation Scheme - both schemes have joining fees.

Regardless of which scheme you choose, before you can become accredited, you must attend training to learn about best practice for landlords, housing legislation, and what is expected of you.

You must also sign a legal declaration to say you are a fit and proper person to be a landlord.

You will also be asked to sign up to a code of conduct.
