Active Lichfield cycle rides
Join us on a series of free group cycle ride across Lichfield District
Active Lichfield Cycle Rides run each year from March through to October and is for all levels of cyclists.
Each month the group cycles to a new destination, including round Lichfield and Burntwood or to Fisherwick Lakes, the National Memorial Arboretum, Strawberry Cabin in Tamworth and Fradley Junction and back again.
The rides are graded from level 1, which are suitable for beginners, to level 4, which are for more experienced cyclists.
The meeting places are: Beacon Park in Lichfield, Freedom Cycles in Windsor Business Park in Lichfield and Burntwood Leisure Centre.
Cyclists just need to turn up at the designated time and meeting place with their bike as well as a snack/lunch/drink although most rides include a cafe stop.
We recommend wearing a cycling helmet, reflective items and appropriate clothes for the weather.
To check if a ride is going ahead if the weather is uncertain, call our parks team on 01543 308867.
Lichfield District Council works in partnership with Freedom Cycles and ReCycle Lichfield to offer the Active Lichfield Cycle Rides programme.
