Changes to our licensing services
Following government advice we have had to change the way we deliver some of our services to you.
With immediate effect and until further notice please do not visit District Council House reception in Frog Lane.

For plate & badge renewals, continue to make your applications on line and provide the information requested. An officer will email or call you if further information is required. Plates & badges will be posted out.
During this time, especially as the information we are receiving changes on a daily basis, we don’t want to be sending you unnecessary emails, however we will send communications where it will effect our service delivery to you. Therefore please check your emails and your spam folders on a regular basis.
The Department for Transport has provided guidance for staff in the transport sector, including advice on insurance for undertaking deliveries, social distancing, and driver licensing.
The Department for Transport has released guidance documents and a Q&A as local transport restarts and lockdown regulations change as of 13 May 2020.
The Department for Transport is aware of the current difficulties in obtaining medical examination reports, such as the D4 medical report used for the Group 2 HGV and bus driver entitlements that many taxi and private hire vehicle licensing authorities base their assessments on. The DfT have provided an update and more information.
