Public realm consultation

This consultation is now closed

Start date: 21 June 2021

Closing date: 11 July 2021

Areas Affected

  • Lichfield District wide

We are working with Gleeds Management Services, Austin-Smith:Lord Architects and Hydrock Consulting to develop a strategy that will enable us to provide a distinctive and high quality public realm throughout Lichfield city centre.

We are now consulting with the public on some emerging ideas and we want you to have your say. The consultation has been developed to review specific themes that will be incorporated into our final strategy:

  • Vibrant streets and spaces
  • Night-time economy
  • Security and community safety
  • Highways, public transportation and active travel
  • Inclusive design and accessibility
  • Open space/urban realm, including management and operation/surface water management
  • Smart city technology and utilities

Your feedback will allow us to develop recommendations within the strategy and support the action plan that will set out a long-term programme of delivery options.

A public display is available at the Nurture Nest Community Space in the Three Spires shopping centre between 9:30am and 4:30pm for the duration of this consultation. Officers and consultants will be on hand in the Nurture Nest each weekday between 12.30pm and 2.30pm to answer any questions you may have.

For those who are unable to get to the Nurture Nest there is an online survey available for you to complete, which should take no longer than 10 minutes.

Information regarding the options that are being considered as part of this strategy is available on our main regeneration projects page
