Unfortunately you may occasionally find items of food, or a place you buy food from are not up to the standard you expect. We can help if you are concerned that food, or the way it is served, may be harmful.

How to make a complaint

If you would like to make a complaint about food you have purchased or you are unhappy with a premises selling food contact 01543 308744 and ask to speak to a member of the commercial or email

Evidence and statements

To help our investigations, any unsatisfactory food should be kept refrigerated and in its original packaging with a receipt where possible. You will be asked to provide information on the purchase and may be asked to make a witness statement.
