Lichfield District - a great place to do business

Lichfield District is located just to the north of the West Midlands conurbation. Although Lichfield District is famous for its history, architecture and culture, it is also a thriving and growing centre for industry and commerce.

Great transport links

It is bisected by three major roads, the M6 Toll Motorway, the A38, and the A5, these roads connect Lichfield District to the National Motorway network.

Birmingham International Airport is easily reached via the M6 Toll. There are also good rail links to Birmingham, London, Manchester and Liverpool.

Healthy business growth

Recent years have seen many new developments, such as Fradley Park on the A38, and Lichfield South next to the M6 Toll.

The next few years will see major developments in Lichfield itself. Friary Outer and Friarsgate will add significantly to the stock of retail space in the city.

The Burntwood Business Park is also experiencing major growth, in part because of the direct access to the M6 Toll and A5.

A destination for national headquarters

Many overseas companies have made Lichfield district their base for UK operations, including businesses from America, Australasia, and mainland Europe.

A great place for your workforce to live

The district is made up of a historic cathedral city, two modern urban centres and a large rural area with pleasant villages. It has long been considered one of the most desirable residential locations in the West Midlands.

The area has outstanding schools both at primary and secondary levels; and Lichfield hosts a campus of Staffordshire University. The ancient Cathedral and the thriving cultural scene make for a vibrant atmosphere. This has been enhanced by the opening of The Lichfield Garrick; a theatre and business venue, in an award winning example of environmentally friendly architecture.
