The national award recognises councils that are delivering real improvements for residents through innovation, service transformation and strong leadership. It reflects the progress we’ve made across the district in recent years as we’ve worked together to improve services, support our communities and invest in the future of Lichfield District. Thank you to all of our councillors, staff, partners, suppliers, customers and of course our residents who have worked with us and helped us to achieve this recognition.

We have recently started issuing council tax and business rates bills and lots of customers are logging into their online accounts. A small number of customers have reported issues when trying to log in. We have raised this with our provider, who supplies online account services for councils nationwide. They have apologised and advised that the issue is due to a high volume of people logging into their council tax accounts at the same time across the country.
