Shopmobility

If you have a mobility problem, and find it difficult to navigate around Lichfield city centre, our shopmobility scheme may be able to help you.

Shopmobility offers anyone with a mobility problem a place to park, and the use of a motorised mobility scooter or manual/push wheelchair for the day. We also offer one electric wheelchair.

It costs £5 for an annual membership and then £1 each time you use the service.

From 15 January 2019, Shopmobility moved from the Multi-Storey car park off Birmingham Road to its new home at The Friary car park, which is off The Friary in Lichfield.

New users - how to register

If you've never used our Shopmobility service before, you'll need to register before you use a scooter.

All you need to do is book a date to come in for a short training/induction session on how to use the scooters/wheelchairs.

You will also need to bring two forms of identification with you that show your name and address. These could include a recent household utility bill, a driver's license or a passport.

As part of your induction session, you will also need to fill in a short form and disclaimer.
