Residential site licences and rules

How to apply and fees

We often attach conditions to licences that are designed to protect the health, safety and welfare of residents and cover things like drainage and distances between mobile homes. If site licence conditions aren’t met, we can take enforcement action which includes the serving of compliance or fixed penalty notices.

When applying for a licence, you will need to provide a 1:500 scale plan of the site showing the parking spaces showing how you will satisfy the relevant site licence conditions*, including:

  • site boundaries
  • positions of caravans standings
  • roads and footpaths (where appropriate)
  • toilet blocks and washing facilities
  • stores and other buildings
  • foul and surface water drainage
  • water supply
  • recreation spaces
  • fire points
  • parking spaces

Please ensure the plan distinguishes between facilities already provided and facilities proposed. We can supply a map of the site for this purpose. To request a map email our private sector housing team.
