Residents are invited to a free advice and support drop-in at Burntwood Library on Wednesday 22 July, where they can speak to a range of organisations offering help with finances, housing, employment, wellbeing and more.
Hosted by the council, the session offers residents the opportunity to speak directly with specialists about a wide range of topics, including Council Tax, benefits, housing, debt, energy costs, employment, wellbeing and local support services.
Whether you’re looking for help with managing household finances, understanding your benefit entitlement, finding employment support or simply want to know what services are available in your local community, the event is free to attend and no appointment is needed.
Organisations attending include Lichfield District Council, Jobcentre Plus, Citizens Advice South-East Staffordshire (CASES), Beat the Cold, Support Staffordshire, Social Prescribers, Bromford Housing Association, Burntwood Be a Friend, Staffordshire Network for Mental Health, Family Hub and Staffordshire Careers. Representatives will be on hand to offer confidential advice, answer questions and help residents access the support they need.
Councillor Richard Cox, Cabinet Member for Community and Public Protection, said:
“We want every resident to know what support is available to them, whether they have a specific issue they'd like advice on or simply want to find out more about the services on offer. Bringing so many organisations together in one place makes it easier for people to access trusted information, ask questions and get the right support when they need it.”
The advice and support drop-in session takes place at Burntwood Library on Bridge Cross Road on Wednesday 22 July, from 10am until 12pm. The event is free, open to all residents and there is no need to book in advance.
