We’re inviting young people from across Lichfield District to have their say about the issues that matter most to them.
We have been exploring new and more engaging ways to connect with young residents. As part of this, we’re excited to launch our first ever young voices event on Friday 31 October 2025.
With the voting age set to be lowered to 16, it’s more important than ever that young people are informed, empowered and involved in local decision-making.
The Young voices event will bring together 11–18 year olds from across the district to:
- Share what matters to them most about their community
- Discuss local issues with councillors and other young people
- Help shape how Lichfield District Council listens to young residents in future
We’d really appreciate your help in spreading the word. Please pass this opportunity on to your children, grandchildren, or any young people in your family who may be interested in attending.

Date: 10:30am – 3:30pm Friday 31 October 2025

It’s a fantastic opportunity for young people to:
Build confidence in expressing their views
Learn how local decisions are made
Meet councillors and other young people who care about the future of their area
Make a real difference to their community
Help shape the future of Lichfield District
Please take a moment to chat with the young people in your family about this opportunity. A simple conversation could inspire them to speak up, get involved, and be part of shaping the district’s future.
