Land charges fees

Please note that our Land Charges search fees will change on the 1 April 2026. This means that the current charges will only relate to searches requested and paid for by 5pm on the 31 March 2026.

As part of our work to transfer the land charges register to HM Land Registry, Lichfield District Council will not be able to provide LLC1 and Personal Searches after the 9 April 2026. This is because we need to clear all searches prior to the new HM Land Registry portal going live on the 21 April 2026. We will of course be able to continue to provide responses to official CON29 questions, and Building Control data requested under the Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) after the 9 April 2026. Please note that search requests for South Staffordshire Council are unaffected.
