The summer holidays are almost upon us and our Active Lichfield Communities team have organised a fantastic programme of free Getin2it activities for young people to enjoy.
From soft archery to football and rounders to street dance, from skatepark tuition to cricket and rock climbing to netball there is something for everyone over the six week holiday.
The activities, for 7 to 19 year-olds, are all free of charge, delivered by qualified coaches and most will be repeated over the 6-week holiday period which runs from Monday 21 July to Friday 29 August (excluding bank holiday Monday 25 August).
Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Leisure and Major Projects, Councillor Andy Smith, said: “The summer activity programme has been specially designed to keep young people entertained and encourage them to be more active, more often and for longer.
“Taking place at venues across Lichfield District there are a lot of activities on offer and we hope many young people will come along, participate and possibly try out a sport for the first time.”
More details and the activity timetable are available on the Active Lichfield website.
