Burntwood Leisure Centre’s swimming pool changing rooms are set to be upgraded as part of ongoing investment in high quality leisure facilities across the district.
The project, which will be delivered by contractor Ascot from 30 March, will see the existing changing rooms refurbished over a 12-13 week period to create a brighter and enhanced accessible environment for members, schools and community users.
The works, improving comfort, privacy and the overall experience for everyone using the centre, will include:
- Replacement of changing cubicles
- New lockers
- New doors and partitions where required
- Full redecoration of the wet side changing areas
- Associated upgrades to fixtures and finishes
The refurbishment forms part of the council’s continued commitment to supporting residents to live active, healthy lifestyles through the provision of quality leisure facilities. By investing in modern, welcoming spaces, the council is ensuring local facilities continue to meet the needs of residents now and into the future.
Importantly, the swimming pool will remain open throughout the works, ensuring that swimming lessons and public swimming can continue with limited disruption. Temporary smaller changing facilities will be available while the refurbishment is underway.
